Dr. Chameera Udawattha of the Department of Estate Management and Valuation received the Vice Chancellor’s Award 2024 at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura Research Awards Ceremony, recognizing his exceptional contributions to research and innovation.

won Best Young Innovator Award 22/23 Best Young Innovator Award 22-23
Dr. Chameera Udawattha was awarded the Best Young Innovator Award 2022–2023 at the International Research Conference in Health Sciences, organized by the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Recognized for his outstanding innovations—particularly his research on mosquito breeding control in Colombo—he was selected for the top award among three categories.

27th International Forestry and Environmental Symposium
Chemilka Kaluwila, undergraduate, and Dr. Chameera Udawattha, Senior Lecturer, were awarded ‘Best Presenter’ at the 27th International Forestry and Environment Symposium 2023 for their research on the opportunity cost of using jackfruit timber in construction in Sri Lanka.

Prof. Nishani Wickramaarachchi received the 2022 Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Reviewer for her contributions to the International Journal of Housing Markets and Analysis.

Dr. Chameera Udawattha received the Presidential Award for Scientific Research 2020 for his study on moss and mould growth on walls in tropical climates.

The Department of Estate Management and Valuation was awarded at the 2018 Research Awards for organizing the International Conference on Real Estate Management and Valuation 2017.

The Department of Estate Management and Valuation was recognized for achieving the highest H-index (0.44) in the Faculty at the 2016 Research Awards.
