Indigenous Knowledge, Innovation and Technology in Construction and Real Estate

  • Home Main
  • Indigenous Knowledge, Innovation and Technology in Construction and Real Estate
Scope

The integration of indigenous knowledge, innovative construction practices, and advanced technologies is transforming the real estate and construction sectors into more sustainable, efficient, and context-responsive systems. Traditional construction techniques, rooted in local materials and climatic adaptability, offer valuable insights for modern development, particularly in the context of sustainability and cost efficiency.

At the same time, rapid technological advancements ranging from digital transformation and data-driven systems to emerging construction technologies such as 3D printing are redefining how real estate assets are designed, constructed, and managed. Bridging traditional knowledge with modern innovation presents significant opportunities for developing resilient, affordable, and technologically advanced built environments.

The CRES promotes interdisciplinary research that integrates indigenous practices, material innovation, and digital technologies to support the evolution of the construction and real estate sectors.

Key Research Focus Areas
