Geo informatics

Scope

Geo Informatics plays a critical role in the analysis, visualization, and management of spatial data within the real estate and built environment sectors by integrating Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, spatial modelling, and data analytics to support evidence-based decision-making in land use planning, urban development, infrastructure management, and environmental sustainability. In the context of increasingly complex urban systems and the expanding availability of geospatial data, geo informatics has become essential for addressing contemporary challenges such as rapid urbanization, land-use conflicts, resource allocation, and climate resilience, while advanced spatial tools and decision support systems enable planners, developers, and policymakers to optimize land utilization, improve development outcomes, and enhance spatial equity. Accordingly, CRES promotes research in geo informatics to strengthen spatial intelligence and advance innovative, data-driven approaches in real estate and urban development.
