CRES conducted initial discussions on the “Revalidating Business Model of the Makumbura Multimodal Centre” project on 11th September 2025 at the Makumbura Multimodal Centre. CRES was identified as the most suitable subject-specific institution for this assignment. CRES has previously been involved with MMC-Kottawa in initiatives related to service quality improvement and capacity-building programmes for bus service providers.The study is expected to contribute towards developing a replicable business model for future multimodal centres planned across Sri Lanka, highlighting the national importance of the initiative.
